The Modern Accountant is brought to you by two opponents by nature, working on the same team with a common goal: finding innovative ways to help accounting professionals do their jobs faster, better and more efficiently.

Gene Cherner is a CPA with more than ten years of experience in the accounting profession and CEO of CE Convergence. He enjoys the tangible, numbers, cool gadgets, organization and taco salad. He can often be found reading the CPA Journal and drinking tea. He is a late adopter who takes pride in never being easily convinced or persuaded. In other words, he likes “proof.”

Katie Fish is a marketing professional on a never-ending quest to discover the newest and most inventive tools for the accounting professional. She can often be found explaining the difference between Facebook and Twitter to Gene, or asking him simple math questions. She is an early adopter who enjoys the intangible, writing, chaos, daydreaming and status updates.
