Surprise! Guess who is offering free accounting software

Google . That is right if you use their Google Docs service they have a spreadsheet included. In fact online spreadsheet has steadily increased in features since introduction. Google Docs has my favorite feature – collaboration. This means two people at either end of the world can collaborate and work on the same spreadsheet at the same time, and see each others changes. Since I am an old Lotus 123 user I find this amazing. Google Docs can be used for creating income or expense summaries as well as financial statements.

The only downside is that it is not a structured accounting program. That means you have to know what you are doing with it or you may get some unprofessional looking results.

However free accounting software has no value unless it is utilized properly. This is something that I would be happy to help with. In fact no matter what accounting software you are using I can probably help you due to my familiarity with various accounting software packages that I have used over the years such as Quickbooks, Peachtree and MAS-90 as well as Quicken.
